Wild Witch Definition

A wild witch is a modern day spiritual practitioner who finds magic in nature, practicing an intuitve, free-spirited path connected to the earth's cycles and the four elements, earth, water, air and fire plus all living things outside of traditional witches coven structures. They embrace a deep respect for nature, acting as a bridge between Earth and the cosmos though rituals, spells and a life of gratitude and harmony with the environment created by natural white magic that is everywhere. Their spirituality is rooted in observing and learning from the natural world, including the elements, plants, animals and the lunar cycle. Wild witchcraft is a personal, often solitary path that emphasizes inherent magical abilities and a free-spirited expression of spirituality.

However my fictional version of a Wild Witch may be very similar but is much more magical!

About The Author

Born and raised mostly in Toronto, Canada, Michael J Dooley graduated from high school, then took courses at Humber College in computer sciences, followed by attending Ryerson Polytechnic, where he learned photography and digital arts. He spent twelve years as a professional photographer in Peterborough, Ontario, then moved to Orangeville, where he retired and now spends his time writing adventure fantasy stories that were intended for children and teens, but he found people of all ages all over the world were enjoying his magical tales of fantasy and adventures. His inspirations to tell these tales all come from his life experiences as he grew up, plus his imagination and desire to create worlds that he wished were real but only possible in his fictional novels.

Main Character: Willow Anderson

Willow was born and raised on her parents horse ranch in Texas. She learned how to ride a horse at a very young age plus always helped out on the ranch as she got older. Even as a very young girl she was able to talk to animals and they seemed to understand her. As she started going to high school that was in walking distance from the ranch, small animals would follow her going and and coming home, like cats, dogs, rabbits and squirrels. Willow is an honor student and has a close group of best friends that many of the other students in the school call the group of misfits. She is eighteen years old with just one year left to complete in Western High School that is a private school for over acheivers. During this summer break Willow discovers she comes from a long blood line of Wild Witches that have very unique magical abilities that come from the four elements that she was born with deep inside her. Her powers come active when an elder Wild Witch tries to awaken here but finds Willow only need the four elements to be kickstarted and didn't need to go though the entire awakening ritual. This elder Wild Witch also discovers that Willow's magic was very powerful compared to any other witches her age. Willow goes on many adventures in some of the most magical lands one could ever imagine during this first summer meeting incredible and magical mystical beings as the power inside her grows stronger and stronger as every day passes! How ever Willow still considers herself to be a country girl, just with powerful magical powers that she always uses for good.  

Book 1 - The Mystical Path

In this first book of the Wild Witch series of adventure fantasy tales you meet a eighteen year old country girl that was raised on her parents horse ranch in Texas named Willow Anderson. The story begins at the end of the last day of school where Willow waits outside for her friend Cally, to finally bring her to the ranch so she can help Cally get over her fear of horses and teach her how to ride. Soon Cally gets over her fear after a few lessons and they go riding together in the woods beside the ranch. While on the main trail they come to a rock wall blocking the trail that Willow knew was not there before but now there was a new path to the left. They decide to check it out and see where it leads but as soon as they start along this new path a small pixie flies down named Sunflower that welcomes the two of them and lets them know they have just entered the Mystical Path that leads to a different realm called Magic Land where elves, sprites and even fairies live. Enjoy this first tale of Willow's adventures.

Book 2 - The Mystery Doorway Adventures

Willow Anderson continues to grow as a Wild Witch when she goes on another adventure with some more of her school friends in the forest not far from her school. While in this forest they meet up with Sage, the forest sprite and Halku the fairy from Magic Land. While they were exploring this forest they found a door up against a tree and when it was opened, they saw it led to a new realm called The Animal Kingdom where all the animals talked plus fairies supplied all the food for them so there was no hunting and killing between all the different kinds of animals. They also meet the queen of the Animal Kingdom plus Josie, a very magical fairy nymph that becomes Halku's best friend and from a sequence of events, ends up living in the human realm on the Anderson horse ranch. Willow also meets some extraordinary dwarves that love to build and can do it extremely fast. Enjoy this magical and often comical fantasy tale as you follow Willow and her growth as the chosen Wild Witch.

Book 3 - The Enchanted Forest

Willow continues her adventures during the summer break from high school in this book. While visiting Magic Land, Willow discovers a small and unusual forest that once inside seemed to be huge and never ending with only one way out that soon soon finds out is the Enchanted Forest. The moment Willow enters this forest she senses a very magical presents everywhere. As she explores this forest she meets some of the most amazing looking and magical beings. A situation arises in the human realm that starts effecting both Magic Land and this Enchanted Forest that needs Willow's help as a Wild Witch where she learns more about her inner strengths and powers plus what her true purpose as a Wild Witch may be but at the price of exposing herself as a very powerful Wild Witch to the world. This story is full of adventure, magic and humor in every chapter with a very delightful and unexpected ending that leads into the next book of Willow's magical adventures.

 Book 4 - Adventures In Story Book Land

In this fourth book from the Wild Witch series of illustrated novels, Willow goes on the walk of enlightenment where she meets three spirts that become part of her and incease her magical powers ten fold making Willow the Alpha Wild Witch, the most powerful witch on the planet. She goes to a very special realm where all the real fairy tales are found with her new friend Red Riding Hood that is now fully grown and known for her marksmanship with the bow and arrow plus skills with a sword. Willow discovers the stories she grew up to know are nothing like the real tales she finds in Story Book Land. These tales should never be read to a child at bedtime. You will meet Snow White, The Snow Queen and her three sisters known as the Season Fairies. Also she meets Robin Hood and Maid Marian plus King Arthur, Merlin and Guinevere. Cinderella's real tragic story is revealed that has yet to have a happy ending. These adventures Willow and Red go on are all about what happens after the happy ever after or not so happy ending that needs their help.
